Airport Fiasco

So Monday we decided that going to Ibiza was going to be pointless because we were going to arrive at 9:50 pm Monday night and leave Wednesday morning at 9 am to go to Palma Mallorca. Giving us only Tuesday in Ibiza and it wasn't worth it. So instead we decided to switch our plane ticket to go straight to Palma from Barcelona, we switched our plane ticket with Orbitz and paid a difference and it was all set.

We arrive at the airport to check in, only to find that we had no reservation or seats on the plane. Turns out they never confirmed our flight so we had no flight and were basically stranded at the Barcelona airport. Sascha called Orbitz and argued for 45 minutes, they finally refunded us all our money and gave us a voucher for $50 to use in the future and told us to buy a ticket at the airport. So we did and ended up paying even less so in the end we ended up winning.

As we are checking in they tell us Sascha's carry on is too big and must be checked in, but it weighed 14 kilos and it would cost 10 eur per kilo so 140 euros. We emptied out as much as we could but it would still be 60 euros to check in the bag. So we decided to empty it out completely and left the poor little carry on at the airport and we went on without it.

We both ended up with headaches after the missions we went through, but it makes for a funny story don't you think?
